Waa the Crow is a great Bunurong story. Important spiritually and known as the the protector of the Waterways. Waa is a good friend to Bunjil and the only bird who manages to stay close to Bunjil (The creator),
Waa is one of the smartest birds, a brave hunter who knows how to get a witchetty grubs out of a tree. Waa will find and use a stick with a little hook on the end of it and he puts it into the laver grub hole and pulls out and eats it the witchetty grub, a delight to Waa.
